In this book, Ric Schaekel tells his unique story of growing up, playing, and coaching basketball in several small towns in central and northern Indiana including Pittsboro High School, Lebanon Jr. High, Pioneer High School (Royal Center). North Salem High School, and West Noble High School (Ligonier) during the peak of “Hoosier Hysteria” in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The author also gives insight into how issues like school consolidation, the end of one class basketball, and “Saturday Morning” coaches effected the game.
